The first rule of thumb for anyone, should be to “know thy mouth” and know that what you put into it will affect your appearance. The first step to having a nicer smile is to have good oral hygiene. Brushing your teeth should not be optional. It should be done at least twice a day with a good firm toothbrush, to not only clean the teeth, but to stimulate the gums as well. Also use a toothpaste that fights gingivitis and plaque. And don’t forget to floss. Everyone has lied to their dental hygienist once or twice when he or she was asked if flossing occurs regularly.
